Chuck’s random thoughts from an idle mind

As I continue to heal and test the patience of my lovely lady I find myself in a dangerous place…..in my own head.  My body clock still wants to wake me at 4:20am.   I’ve learned a few other things since my surgery.  I like morphine AND I could never give birth.   I’m also dwelling on the fact that, during my release process, a lady from the billing department came into my room & wanted me to sign paperwork that stated I wasn’t a patient but merely in the hospital for observation !!   I have a feeling that this is going to come back to bite me when the insurance claims are filed.  I remember seeing a segment on this on local TV a few weeks ago.  Let’s re-cap.   I arrived at the ER Thursday afternoon in mind numbing pain.  A long incision was then made in my abdomen to repair the damage.  I spent the night in intensive care hooked up to a magic IV drip and wakened every 2 hours for a variety of inconvenient reasons and this all comes under the heading of OBSERVATION?  Well, I’m just going to claim that I was asked to sign the offending paperwork while still sedated.  Anyone else ever have this experience?  Looking forward to getting back in the saddle soon.  In the meantime,  let me thank you in advance for the get well wishes.  I’m going back to sleep……
