LinkedIn is turning 20 this year and in honor of that, they asked people to share the top 20 lessons they wish they knew at the start of their careers. The responses prove that hindsight can be a really helpful thing, especially when it comes to our careers.

The top 20 lessons people wish they’d known at the beginning of their careers:

  1. A healthy work-life balance is important (27%)
  2. It’s okay to say “no” (26%)

  5. Stick to your values (17%)
