It was Jenna Ulrich's first day on the job with the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District in Missouri.
A call came in-- tractor trailer on fire.
The probie went on the call to fight the fire alongside her dad, firefighter Glenn Ulrich.
It was memorable and somewhat complicated. Jenna is a vegan and the trailer was hauling 40 thousand pounds of ribeye steaks!
As the fire department put it on social media, "Nothing says ‘welcome to the fire service’ like sending the probie to put out 40,000 pounds of flaming ribeye!"
No injuries, but the department reported the steaks were a total loss.
