Popeye’s Introduces “Emotional Support Chickens”

Fast food chain wants to help relieve the stress of flying over the holidays

  • Popeye’s is hoping to help relieve the stress of holiday travel with their newly introduced “Emotional Support Chickens”
  • It’s a three-piece chicken tenders combo in a carrier that is shaped like a chicken, and they’re designed to give travelers a “good hearted laugh”
  • They are only available at the Popeye’s in the Philadelphia International Airport in Terminal C

These days more and more airlines are cracking down on emotional support animals, but we somehow don’t think they’ll take issue with the latest “hot” animal, because, well, it’s delicious.

Popeye’s is hoping to help relieve the stress of holiday travel with their newly introduced “Emotional Support Chickens.” No, they are not live chickens you take on the plane with you, rather it’s a three-piece chicken tenders combo in a carrier that is shaped like a chicken, and they’re designed to give travelers a “good hearted laugh.”

Now of course these are just for fun, but just in case someone is taking them seriously Popeye’s does include a disclaimer with their chickens. “This chicken provides comfort and nourishment during stressful air travel,” it reads. “Unlike other chicken, it is marinated in real Louisiana spices for 12 hours and must be permitted to fly without restriction. Do not leave unattended, as Popeye’s is not responsible for lost or stolen chicken.”

  • Unfortunately, you’ll have to be traveling through Philadelphia to enjoy Popeye’s emotional support chickens. They are only available at the Popeye’s in the Philadelphia International Airport in Terminal C
