Charlotte County has declared a Local State Of Emergency, as well as…

-        Schools closed through Thursday

-        Government offices closing at noon today

-        Curbside solid waste pickup will occur as scheduled today, but none tomorrow through Thursday

-        Landfill and transfer facilities will be open today (it’s recommended to take any left-over Helene curbside debris to the landfill TODAY so it doesn’t   become air or waterborne debris during the storm)

-        Charlotte County sandbag sites closed

-        Charlotte Transit ops suspended

-        Charlotte County Emergency Management will hold a news conference (Facebook Live) today at 2:15 with more preparation details
