The Full Story:

Have you ever been to a wedding and been served cold, fancy food and thought you’d rather just have a slice of pizza? Well, if you were a guest at a recent wedding in England your prayers would have been answered.

British coupleTom Browneand wifeVictoriadecided that instead of a fancy meal at their wedding they were going to serve guests Dominos Pizza. "I didn't want traditional sandwiches or anything at the wedding, I wanted something that stood out,” the bride shared, noting that she and her hubby “don't do anything traditionally."

The couple initially joked about getting Dominos for the wedding, but as the big day grew closer they started liking the idea. They then called up their local franchise and asked them if they’d be willing to cater the wedding, and while it was the first time they were ever asked, they agreed. The couple wound up spending $450 on their pizza party, although guests had more options than just a slice. The couple ordered 30 large pizzas, 20 garlic breads, 20 boxes of chicken strips and 20 boxes of fries.

  • As for how guests responded, Victoria says they thought they “were winding them up", adding, "People are still gobsmacked with it.” But apparently guests didn’t mind. According to Victoria, although she thought they ordered too much, the guests ate everything.
