Former Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman has died at the age of 82. Lieberman, who was the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2000 under Al Gore, died in New York City following complications from a fall. A four-term U.S. senator, Lieberman was the first Jewish candidate on the national ticket of a major party.
