Florida Senate Democrats are holding a press conference at noon today to discuss Governor DeSantis renewing his immigration state of emergency for the 19th time. Back in 2023, DeSantis said this will be considered an emergency until every illegal alien is sent back. Democrats plan on filing three bills demanding oversight and transparency. The Miami Herald says over the past three years, Florida's Division of Emergency Management has suspended twenty-five statutes using the state of emergency as justification.
