The cause of death for Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash's 25-year-old stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight has been revealed.
On Thursday (August 29), the New York Post reported that the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the manner of Knight's death as suicide as a result of hydrogen sulfide toxicity, a poisonous and flammable gas that can be toxic and fatal with "high exposure."
"Ms. Knight was found unresponsive in a private residence on July 19 by law enforcement conducting a welfare check. Death was pronounced at 1500 hours," the coroner told the Post, adding, "An examination was performed by a deputy medical examiner on July 22. The cause of death was certified on August 29."
Slash announced the tragic loss of the makeup artist, daughter of Mark Knight and Slash's current partner Meegan Hodges, on July 21, asking for privacy while mourning who he called "an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul."
He later penned a heartbreaking tribute to his late stepdaughter stating that his "heart is permanently fractured" and how he finds "solace in the hope that you are at peace now."
