(Broward County, Fla.) - The 2023 Florida Python Challenge award ceremony was held today at the Long Key Nature Center in Broward. And this year's Ultimate Grand prize winner is Paul Hobbs.
Hobbs takes home $10,000 and attended the first python challenge 10 years ago with his father. Now he hunts the big snakes with his son.
The Grand Prize runner up, Ronald Kiger took home $7500.
The Python Challenge targets Burmese pythons that are an invasive species devastating the Florida Everglades.
