The Ninth Annual Boca Raton Bowl is being played at FAU's football stadium Tuesday night between the University of Toledo and Liberty University.
The game will be televised on ESPN and Mayor Scott Singer says it will make for great advertising for his city.
"Millions of eyes will be on our city and understanding that the weather in Boca Raton for the bowl will be 73 degrees. In both of those cities, in Virginia and Ohio, (it'll be) 31 (degrees) at kickoff. So it'll show to a nationwide audience why they should live, work and learn in Boca Raton."
Singer says that's in addition to the money that will be spent locally by the fans of both teams who travel for the game. Florida Atlantic University's football stadium has a capacity of 30,000.
The Boca Raton Bowl kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
There's another exciting moment for Mayor Singer...Brightline is set to open its brand new train station in the city on Wednesday. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is being held on Tuesday.
Brightline says the new station will bring in an additional $10.9 million in additional annual spending. Singer says he wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be even more than that.
