3 Wildfires Burn Close To 30,000 Acres In Florida Panhandle

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Firefighters are waging an around-the-clock battle against devastating wildfires in the Florida Panhandle.

The Florida Fire Service says the Bertha Swamp Road Fire has burned more than 28,000 acres so far and is 10% contained. The Adkins Road fire is 875 acres and 50% contained, while the Star Road fire is 250 acres and 60% contained. Firefighting efforts are being coordinated under the name Chipola Complex.
