Florida bound flight crashes, kills popular Puerto Rican music producer

A private plane bound for Florida crashed on Wednesday, killing all nine people aboard including Puerto Rican music producer Flow La Movie.

The producer, born Jose Angel Hernandez, was one of seven passengers in a private plane that crashed near Las Américas International Airport in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday.

Other passengers on the plane included Hernandez's partner, Debbie Von Marie Jiminez Garcia, and their children.

Helidosa, the company that owned the private plane, took to social media to confirm the accident and names of the victims.

“For Helidosa, this accident causes us great pain and sorrow. We stand in solidarity with the affected families that, along with us, are going through a difficult time,” they said in a statement.

The doomed flight departed from El Higüero airport for Florida shortly before seeking to land at Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo.

The company gave no details on why the pilots aborted the flight or possible causes of the crash.

Flow La Movie was behind chart topping hits such as “Te Boté,” which topped the Hot Latin Songs chart for 14 weeks.

He also produced Nio Garcia's “AM” and the viral hit “La Jeepeta.”

As an artist, he charted with “Travesuras”; the song peaked at #9 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and also hit #1 on Latin Airplay, Latin Rhythm Airplay and Tropical Airplay lists.
