WATCH: Port Richey Police Chase Ends With a Splash

PORT RICHEY -- A police chase in Pasco County ends with a drug suspect driving his car into a pond. Sheriff's Office released video of the incident--which took place Thursday.
Deputies tried to stop 30-year-old Jonathan DeLoach near US 19 and San Marco Drive, but he took off, with a woman and two children inside. DeLoach made his way into a mobile home park, zipping past people walking their dogs, and that's where he lost control of his car. The sheriff's office says DeLoach's car went into a pond. Deputies and bystanders helped a woman and two children who couldn't swim out of the car. As they were doing so, deputies say a bag of methamphetamines floated by.
DeLoach faces several charges including fleeing, child abuse, possession of methamphetamines, driving with a suspended license - habitual offender, and reckless driving.Deputies say he told them he fled because he had three outstanding warrants.
