UPDATE: Boca Raton's Town Center Mall on Lockdown after Report of Shooting

The Town Center Mall is under lockdown while Boca Raton Police and SWAT teams conduct an active search of the area.

Boca Raton Police responded to a report of shots fired just after 3 p.m. Sunday at the mall located along the 6000 block of Glades Road.

SWAT teams are continuing to clear the mall and evacuate people. Boca Police ask, "If you are still in the mall, please stay sheltered in place until officers evacuate you."

The public is being told to avoid the area.

Police confirm that there is no active shooter at this time and one person with a possible gunshot wound was transported to the Delray Medical Center.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office, Delray Beach Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are also on the scene.
