Thirty People Hospitalized After Floor Collapses At Party in South Carolina

At least 30 people had to be taken to a hospital after a floor collapsed during a party at an apartment complex in Clemson, South Carolina Saturday night. 

Authorities say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. at The Woodland Apartments on Old Greenville Highway near Clemson. When officers went to the scene, they discovered multiple people had been injured, and called in further assistance. 

According to the Clemson City Police Department, people in the apartment were holding a private party in the Clubhouse at the apartment complex when at some point, the floor collapsed, crashing down to the second level of the building. At least thirty people were taken to three local area hospitals to be checked out and treated. 

Fortunately, no life-threatening injuries were reported from the incident. 

Police say their investigation is on-going.
