Thanos Is Coming To Fornite In Collaboration With Avengers: Infinity War

Fortnite: Battle Royal has quickly become a worldwide sensation the past couple of months with millions of users playing the online game around the world on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Celebrities have also gotten in on the fun of the game as Drake and Travis Scott teamed up with one of the biggest Fortnite streamers "Ninja" on youtube spawning memes across the internet and bringing huge numbers to the streamers page. Since then other celebrities have gotten in on the action such as the controversial Paul brothers "Logan and Jake", Logan himself brought in over 100,000 viewers his first stream despite getting eliminated A LOT

Fornite is in its 4th season of play and this seasons theme is all about movies and superheroes. While many fans thought that this was more than just a coincidence with the release of the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War (which has made over a BILLION dollars in two weeks), it looks as if their theories were correct. Today (May 7th) the Fortnite Instagram page uploaded a photo featuring one of its official player skins standing next to the villain of the most recent Avengers film The Mad Titan Thanos

Entertainment Weekly got the inside details about the limited time event:

The “Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup” mode for Battle Royale will feel just like a standard slugfest — with one major difference: One hundred players will descend upon the map and fight until one player is left standing, as usual, but this time you’ll do so with the Infinity Gauntlet in play.

The artifact containing all six Infinity Stones — the same one Thanos used to cripple Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on the big screen — will appear on the map. Whomsoever finds and equips it will transform into Thanos himself, wielding all the power that comes with him.

Hopefully, this means we will see some awesome player skins from Infinity War, Black Panther skin anyone?

Get your wallets ready as Thanos lands into the world of Fornite tomorrow (May 8th)....
